Aboriginal Art
Aboriginal people are indigenous, which means the first Australians to settle in Australia.


Aboriginal art is part of the oldest continuous cultures in world history, with Australian Aborigines settling, on the Australian continent somewhere between 60,000 and 80,000 years ago.
The Aboriginal art can tell a story with the use different symbols.


Aboriginal art includes works made in many different ways including painting on leaves, wood carvings, sculpting, ceremonial clothing and sand painting. Aboriginal art is closely linked to religious ceremonies or rituals.


The art of Aboriginal art is weird but it’s beautiful. It’s supposed to tell a story with the use of symbols. I think a person would really have to get deep into finding out what its really about or you would have to be an artist. Learning what the symbols mean can be a way to learn more about the meaning behind the art. The artist draws with a lot of lines and paints with different colors. Maybe one day I can go there and get a better understanding of what the art truly means and represents.
When understanding the art, I think it is almost like you would have to meet with one of the artist’s who does the

Someone who is Aboriginal would have more understanding, than someone who is new to it, or trying to learn about it. If that person grew up believing in the culture, then they could tell you the steps of how it all really works.
